Unique Experiences – Melbourne

Unique Experiences – Melbourne

Looking for a fun day out this weekend? Lucky for you, we’ve made a list of unique activities in Melbourne to experience with your four-legged bestie!

1. GoBoat Melbourne

Pack a picnic basket and cruise down the Yarra with your pup aboard a GoBoat this weekend! GoBoat’s eco-friendly boats are made from recycled materials and powered by electric motors. GoBoat can fit up to eight people per boat, but be sure to inquire first about weight restrictions when bringing your four-legged friends.

2. Punting on the Lake

We’ve all walked the Tan with our four-legged friends, but did you know that in the heart of the Botanical Gardens is the Ornamental Lake. Here you can take your furry friends on a guided punting boat tour around the lake. Don’t forget to tag @dogsonthelake on Instagram for a feature on their page!

3. Puppy Pub Crawl

The classic Aussie pub crawl has been taken to the next level, introducing the Puppy Pub Crawl! Enjoy an afternoon exploring a curated selection of inner city pubs, and, as the name suggests, you’re encouraged to bring your pup along for the entire experience. Treat yourself to a few drinks and some good food while your four-legged drinking buddy enjoys their very own dog friendly specialties at each location.

4. Classic Cinema Elsternwick

Movie night just got better (if that was even possible?)! Kick up your feet for the evening and enjoy an arthouse cinema screening (or an old favourite) at Classic Cinema in Elsternwick. The best part, pooches are welcome! There’s even a selection of healthy movie snacks by ‘Get Wag’ available for your doggos in the foyer.

5. Doggy Winery Tours

Gourmet Pawprints have revolutionised winery tours… just when we thought a wine tour couldn’t get any better, you are now welcome to bring your doggo along for the ride! Gourmet Pawprints offer tours aboard their custom dog-friendly bus ‘Bella’, which departs from Port Melbourne, complete with a seat for both you and your furry friend. While you enjoy the various tastings and a two-course lunch, your furry friend will enjoy a movie and pooch massage by the inhouse professional dog carers. Sounds like the pawfect day out for owners and pooches alike!
